POWER GENERATION FROM GYM MACHINE


In this project we are going to generate power from convention cable and pulley machines in the gym.Here we are welding a rack gear to the bottom of the weight holderand a pinion is fitted to the shaft as shown in the figure.when the weight is pulled the rack moves vertically and this motion is converted to rotary by pinion.The rotating motion of the shaft is transferd to  another shaft using chain and sprocket arrangement and this torque is used to generate power inthe generator

This generated power can be stored in a battery which can be used to charge an invertor.Thus the energy wasted during exercises are conveted to electrical power that can be utilized to fight power scarcity.
